How to Draw Online in 4 Easy Steps
Online drawing for kids should be simple. This free drawing board works right in your browser. There is nothing to download and no account to make.
- Pick a paper. Start on white, cream, black chalkboard, kraft, lined, grid, dot grid or comic panels.
- Choose a tool. Tap a pencil, crayon, marker, brush or stamp. Use the slider to make it thick or thin.
- Pick a color. Choose from 24 crayon colors or mix any color you like. Your recent colors stay close by.
- Draw, then save. Your picture saves itself in your browser. Download it as a PNG, print it or share it.
Made a mistake? Tap undo. Want a fresh start? Tap clear. Pinch with two fingers to zoom in on tiny details.
Drawing Tools for Kids
Kids can draw and paint online for free with a full set of tools. Every tool is one tap away, and kids can mix them on the same blank canvas.
- Pencil, crayon and marker for lines, outlines and coloring in.
- Paintbrush for soft, painted strokes.
- Rainbow brush that changes color while you draw.
- Glitter brush for sparkly wings, crowns and stars.
- Spray paint for clouds, smoke and graffiti letters.
- Neon glow pen that shines on black paper.
- Fill bucket that colors a whole shape at once. It even closes small gaps in your lines.
- Shapes: line, rectangle, circle, triangle, star and heart.
- Stamps: stars, hearts, flowers, smileys, paw prints and more.
- Color picker to grab a color from your drawing.
- Eraser to fix any spot.
Pens with pressure make lines thicker when you press harder (on supported pens). A mouse or a finger works just as well.
Magic Pencil: Doodle It, and It Guesses
Draw a quick doodle, like a cat, a house or a sun. The Magic Pencil knows more than 150 things kids love to draw. It guesses what you drew and shows matching Color Confetti drawings.
Tap one to place it on your page. Now you can color it, add a background or draw more friends around it. The Magic Pencil runs in your browser, so your doodle stays on your device.

Mirror Mode: Mandalas, Snowflakes and Butterflies
Turn on mirror mode and draw on one side. The other side draws itself.
- Left-right mirror: great for butterflies, faces, robots and castles.
- 4-, 6- or 8-way kaleidoscope: one line becomes a mandala, a snowflake or a flower.
Tip: use 6-way mirror on black paper with the neon glow pen. It looks like fireworks. For more symmetry ideas, look at our butterfly coloring pages.
Print It or Make Your Own Coloring Page
When your drawing is done, you have four choices:
- Download it as a PNG picture.
- Print it on US Letter paper.
- Share it from a phone or tablet.
- Make it a coloring page. This turns your drawing into black outlines. Color it online, or print it and color it with real crayons.
Kids love to draw their own coloring page and give it to a friend. Make one for a sibling, a grandparent or the whole class.
Your drawings also save in your browser while you work. Find them again in "My drawings", the gallery on your device.
Trace or Color Any Coloring Page Online
This drawing pad is also our online coloring tool for kids. You can color any of our 64,000+ coloring pages online with the same brushes, glitter and fill bucket.
Want to learn how to draw something? Use trace mode. It opens a Color Confetti coloring page as a faint guide. Trace the lines, then color your own version.

For Parents and Teachers
Safe and private
- No ads on the drawing page.
- No sign-up and no download. Kids never type a name or an email.
- Nothing is uploaded. Drawings stay on the device, in the browser.
- Drawings only leave the device when your child downloads, prints or shares them.
Good to know: clearing the browser data also clears "My drawings". Download a PNG to keep a favorite picture.
It feels like a paint game for kids, but there are no levels, timers or scores. Kids simply create, at their own pace.

- Writing: write a sentence on lined paper and draw a picture above it.
- Shapes and patterns: use grid or dot grid paper with the shape tools.
- Fine motor practice: trace a simple coloring page, then color inside the lines.
- Class coloring book: each student draws a page and taps "Make it a coloring page". Print them on US Letter and staple them together.
