Learning About Omani Culture

When studying the Middle East in the classroom, these coloring sheets help introduce students to the daily life and heritage of Oman. Children can color the traditional dishdasha worn by men and boys, along with the embroidered kummah cap. The illustrations also feature iconic Islamic architecture, such as the grand mosques with their detailed arches and domes.

National Symbols and Geography

The maps and symbols section provides useful resources for geography lessons. Students can identify the country's borders and coastal regions while coloring the blank maps.

  • National Flag: Features vertical and horizontal bands of white, red, and green, along with the national emblem.
  • Khanjar: A traditional curved dagger worn on a belt, which is also depicted on the country's flag.
  • Arabian Oryx: The national animal of Oman, often found in the arid desert regions.
  • Frankincense: A fragrant resin harvested from native trees, historically traded from Omani ports.

Coloring Traditional Omani Scenes

The landscapes of Oman offer a mix of rugged mountains, coastal cliffs, and sandy dunes. When coloring the traditional wooden dhow boats sailing along the coast, use deep blues and greens for the water. For the historic forts and date palm trees, warm earth tones and sandy yellows work well to capture the local environment.
