Bringing the Megillah to Life
The holiday of Purim centers around the biblical story of Queen Esther and her cousin Mordecai saving the Jewish people in the ancient Persian empire. Our historical coloring sheets let children explore the events read from the Megillah scroll. You will find illustrations of the royal palace in Shushan, the king on his throne, and families gathering to hear the traditional story.
Coloring Holiday Traditions
A major part of the celebration involves exchanging gifts of food, known as Mishloach Manot. Kids can color their own festive gift baskets filled with fruit, wine, and the iconic triangle-shaped cookies called hamantaschen. We also included scenes of families baking these sweet treats and using noisy groggers to drown out Haman's name during the reading.
